Investors, customers or teams?
When you think that debate is over and teams need to be put on the pedestal, you see that companies still make the same mistakes all the time. Yes, investors can and have the rights to demand. Yes, customers can and have the rights to demand. And yes, only your team can and has the ability to deliver.
Most of the times you see how teams suffer from mismanagement:

1. Right people in the wrong places.
2. Lack of face to face communication.
3. Big demands and little appreciation.
4. Losing the spark of the initial project. (Vision goes wrong)
5. Thinking that people can be easily replaced and paying too much as a result. (Instead of keeping the early team and developing them.)
6. Not giving the team authority to act and decide.
7. Not saying thank you for the effort and just enjoying the ride.
8. Not learning from the past experience. (People leave for the same reasons. Bad boss, bad environment, bad energy, little space for negotiating and talking heart-to-heart.)
9. Important conversations but wrong timing. (Usually, when it is late.)
This list can go on forever. The point is that the new companies and new products are made by the good old teams. Teams that form a special bond and do hell of a job.
